Importance of evacuation chairs

Evacuation chairs are lightweight but sturdy Class 1 medical devices used to transport people from buildings during emergencies. Specifically designed for use on stairwells, these innovations have wheels and adjustable tracks to safely evacuate incapacitated people down stairs.

Importance of an evacuation chair sign

Safety signs of all kinds are a vital measure wherever there is a risk to the health and safety of people. As well as drawing attention to hazards, such signs also serve to inform and guide individuals.

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) emphasises the importance of safety and emergency signs. It also highlights the fact that it is the responsibility of building owners and employers to ensure the necessary signage is in place.
